General Purpose
Our client, a leading food manufacturing company with operations across the East African region, is seeking to recruit a Quality Assurance Assistant to support the continued expansion of its production operations. The Quality Assurance Assistant will support the Quality Assurance function by ensuring that all products meet established quality, food safety, and regulatory standards.
Location: Tiilsi Area – near Limuru Town | Gross Salary: Ksh. 35,000
Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards
- Conduct routine quality inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process, and finished products
- Ensure adherence to GMP, GHP, HACCP, and company quality procedures
- Identify quality deviations and support corrective and preventive actions
- Maintain accurate quality records, reports, and documentation
- Assist in internal and external quality audits
- Support implementation and continuous improvement of quality management systems
- Liaise with production teams to ensure quality standards are consistently met
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements as set by KEBS, Public Health, and other authorities
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Science & Technology or Dairy Technology (STRICTLY required)
- Minimum of 3 years' relevant working experience in a food or dairy manufacturing company
- Strong knowledge of food safety and quality systems
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and manufacturing best practices
- Good analytical, documentation, and reporting skills
- Computer literate, with working knowledge of MS Office
