Odex Chemicals Limited, a leading manufacturer of industrial detergents, sanitizers, and water treatment solutions, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Coordinator to support the Quality Assurance function and ensure that all products and processes meet established standards and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities or duties
Quality Assurance & Control
- Conduct inspections of incoming raw materials and packaging to ensure conformity to specifications.
- Sample and analyze in-process and finished products to verify quality standards.
- Perform monthly Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) inspections on the production floor.
- Assist in investigating customer complaints and generating Corrective Action (CA) reports.
- Assist in reviewing, updating, and maintaining robust Quality Assurance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain accurate and timely records of quality control results, inspections, and deviations.
- Assist in updating and managing the Bill of Materials (BOM) and process steps.
- Support the QA Manager in ensuring compliance with KEBS certification and other statutory and legal quality requirements.
- Participate in product enhancement activities, including trials for new or improved products.
- Conduct regular in-line quality checks to promptly identify and address defects.
- Conduct equipment cleaning inspections in accordance with the cleaning schedule.
- Oversee the mixing process to ensure product consistency and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Maintain retention samples for all production batches for future reference.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a related field.
- Thorough understanding of GMP, ISO standards, and quality assurance principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and reporting abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- High attention to detail and commitment to product and process quality.
Experience needed
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control role within the healthcare, pharmaceutical or Aviation industry.
