The Quality Assurance Officer will be responsible for Ensuring that all necessary paperwork and records are complete, accurate, and compliant with relevant standards, Performing regular audits and assessments of processes, transactions, or products to verify adherence to regulations and internal policies. The Quality Assurance Officer will work closely with different departments, such as finance, operations and credit to ensure all activities meet required standards

What You Will Do

  • Conduct thorough verifications of potential clients to accurately assess their creditworthiness.
  • Utilize diverse verification methods, such as spoof calling, reference checks, and ID authentication, to ensure accuracy and integrity in the loan application process.
  • Identify and evaluate potential risks in loan applications and make informed recommendations for risk mitigation.
  • Ensure the application of best practices in risk management, contributing to the organization's overall financial health.
  • Ensure that all verification processes comply with the latest regulatory requirements and adhere to company policies.
  • Stay updated on changes in lending regulations and make necessary adjustments to verification practices to remain compliant.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation that supports compliance efforts and is readily accessible for internal and external audits.
  • Maintain accurate and meticulous records of all verification activities, including findings, outcomes, and follow-ups.
  • Prepare regular reports on loan applications, providing key insights on approvals, rejections, and risk assessments.
  • Support data-driven decision-making by presenting detailed analyses of verification outcomes to senior management.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as credit analysis, customer service, and operations, to streamline the loan approval process.
  • Performing such other tasks and duties as the Company may from time to time designate as forming part of the Employees job description

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 2 years experience in auditing, compliance, quality control, preferably in the financial services industry..
  • Strong analytical skills to assess data and identify discrepancies..
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
  • Good communication skills for reporting findings and collaborating with other departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Financial industry in Kenya and East Africa
