Role Profile
The Quality Control Manager is responsible for ensuring that all aircraft maintenance activities comply with OEM requirements, Kenya Civil Aviation Authority regulations, operator standards, and internal quality procedures. The role oversees inspection processes, tooling compliance, technical documentation integrity, and supports continuous safety and quality improvement initiatives within the AMO Department.
Duties
- Compliance Oversight: Enforces adherence to OEMs, KCAA, and operator requirements
- Inspections: Leads all stages of inspection: pre, hidden damage, in-progress, and final
- Training & Rosters: Manages certifying engineer training and inspection authorizations
- Tooling & Equipment: Verifies calibration and condition of critical tooling
- Records: Maintains AMO technical records and documentation integrity
- Regulatory Liaison: Coordinates with KCAA and OEMs through Head of Quality
- Safety & Quality: Champions ALS safety culture and continuous improvement
Requirements
- Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering
- AME License with airframe/engine or avionics ratings
- Minimum 5 years in aircraft maintenance
- Completed QMS course (KCAA approved)
- Proficient in digital reporting tools
- Excellent written and verbal skills
