Job Summary:

Yalelo Kenya is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Officer to support Quality Control inspections and identify quality risks in the Distribution Centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enforce proper handling of fish throughout processing activities to avoid product damage.
  • Enforce the use of proper icing techniques throughout the process to maintain the freshness of the fish.
  • Ensure high hygiene and housekeeping standards are maintained across all channels.
  • Monitor the packaging and loading process to ensure the fish reaches the market fresh and presentable.
  • Ensure employees are following all Food Safety and worker safety practices.
  • Carry out Quality Control inspections to meet Quality standards.
  • Train employees on food safety and SQF standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science and Technology and/or Fisheries and Aquaculture.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working in quality control operations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and record-keeping skills.
  • Resilience and the ability to work independently and effectively under pressure.
