Quality control/assurance assistant requires expertise in quality control practices, standards, and auditing procedures to ensure that all products meet the company's high-quality standards and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in food science and technology or a related field.
  • Training or certification in quality control, standards, and auditing procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in the food processing industry.

Main responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections and testing of raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality control systems and procedures.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of inspections and quality checks.
  • Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Support internal and external audits to maintain certifications and regulatory compliance.
  • Assist in training staff on quality control standards and best practices.

Salary: kshs. 35,000 - 50,000 plus company benefits
