Background

The African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC) is a leading Sub-Saharan African research institution committed to generating evidence that addresses health and development challenges. APHRC is seeking to recruit Quantitative Field Interviewers to support its ongoing research projects.

Responsibilities

The Quantitative Field Interviewers will be responsible for:

  • Conducting household surveys and collecting data using tablets.
  • Ensuring data quality and accuracy.
  • Adhering to research protocols and ethical guidelines.
  • Participating in training sessions and team meetings.
  • Reporting progress and challenges to the field supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements

The ideal candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in data collection or fieldwork is an advantage.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in English and local languages spoken in the target areas.
  • Willingness to travel to different locations within the specified counties.

This is a field-based position. Successful candidates will be provided with training.
