Quick thinking and adaptability: The ability to think on your feet, make quick decisions under pressure, and improvise when necessary. Organization and planning: Good organizational and planning skills, the ability to manage time effectively, and work to rigid schedules. Research and writing: Strong research skills and the ability to prepare scripts and content. Technical operation: Ability to operate broadcasting equipment and manage sound cues. Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with producers and other staff. Multitasking: Skilled in managing multiple tasks simultaneously, such as speaking, playing music, and interacting with audience feedback.

Content preparation: Researching and preparing for shows, writing scripts, and creating content ideas. Broadcasting: Hosting shows, introducing music and guests, and making community announcements. Live reporting: Providing commentary on live events, such as sports, and reading news, weather, or sports reports. Audience engagement: Organizing and presenting on-air competitions, hosting talkback shows, and interviewing guests. Commercial duties: Reading advertisements and presenting advertorials, which may involve meeting with clients. Event hosting: Hosting outside events, such as community gatherings and competitions. Other duties: Depending on the station, a presenter may also handle duties like selling advertising time or managing control boards.

A good flow of ideas, knowledge of current events, music, and audience interests, and the ability to generate original content. Technical skills: Basic understanding of broadcasting equipment and software. Legal and ethical knowledge: Awareness of media law and willingness to follow rules.
