KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-rays and other radiographic examinations as requested by physicians.
• Prepare patients for radiological procedures and explain the process to ensure cooperation and comfort.
• Operate radiographic equipment safely and effectively
• Ensure radiation protection and adhere to established safety standards and protocols
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
• Ensure proper care, maintenance, and reporting of faults in radiology equipment.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures within the radiology department
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide quality patient care

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma in Radiography / Medical Imaging. Bachelors Degree in the mentioned courses is an added advantage
• Valid professional license from the relevant regulatory body

WORK EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 2-3 years relevant working experience in a hospital
• Knowledge of radiation safety standards and imaging protocols
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism
