Job Purpose:

To perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures safely and accurately, assisting physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform X-ray examinations according to physician requests and established protocols.
  • Position patients correctly to obtain the best possible images while ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Operate and maintain radiographic equipment, reporting any malfunctions.
  • Adhere to strict radiation safety protocols for patients, self, and staff.
  • Process and prepare images for reporting by a radiologist.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and examination logs.
  • Manage the inventory of imaging supplies.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

Diploma or Degree in Medical Imaging Sciences / Radiography from a recognized institution.

Licensing:

Must be registered and hold a valid practicing license.

Experience:

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a hospital setting. Experience with other modalities (ultrasound, CT) is an added advantage.

  • Excellent technical and patient positioning skills.
  • Strong understanding of anatomy and radiation safety.
  • Compassionate and reassuring manner with patients.
  • Attention to detail and image quality.
