Recovery Officer Manager
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Recovery Officer Manager to oversee and manage the company's debt recovery operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of effective collections management, negotiation, and leadership within the financial services or credit recovery sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and support the recovery team to achieve monthly and quarterly recovery targets.
- Develop and implement effective recovery strategies, policies, and procedures to minimize bad debt exposure.
- Monitor and analyze portfolio performance, providing regular reports and insights to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies in recovery processes.
- Handle escalated cases and negotiate repayment plans with clients when necessary.
- Train and mentor recovery officers to enhance performance and customer engagement standards.
- Collaborate with legal teams on litigation and enforcement actions where required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date recovery records and documentation.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in debt recovery, credit management, or collections, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of credit control and recovery processes.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with recovery management systems.
