Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Recruitment Specialist I to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding top talent. You will work closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and ensure a seamless candidate experience. The ideal candidate is passionate about people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and brings strong communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Post and update recruitment marketing materials such as job advertisements or engagement posts on various sourcing channels such as employment websites and social media platforms.
- Communicate with all applicants on the platform to keep them engaged and assist in completing the application process within the prescribed timelines.
- Verify mandatory work documents submitted by applicants during the recruitment process.
- Interact with candidates on online platforms to answer queries and cultivate relationships.
- Search and review online portfolios and profiles to pre-screen candidates.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify each position's requirements.
- Send recruiting emails and follow up with candidates.
- Ask for referrals from internal and external networks for hard-to-fill roles.
- Contact past applicants for new job opportunities.
- Develop a network of potential candidates, industry professionals and build relationships with relevant institutions.
- Identify future hiring needs and proactively source for prospective candidates.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends in talent sourcing and support the talent acquisition team in optimizing and improving its practices.
Requirements
- A degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
- Must possess relevant HR certification.
- A member of IHRM
- At least 1- 2 years of recruiting-related experience in high-volume and multi-location hiring setup.
- Understanding of Kenya labor practices.
- Experience with various web-based Applicant Tracking Systems and HR databases.
- Familiar with productivity tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Click Up, Slack, Zoom, and other similar programs.
- Fluent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand, process, and document information.
- High EQ (emotional intelligence) and CQ (cultural intelligence).
- Willing and Flexible to work night shifts
