Role Overview
As the Regional Media & Influencer Marketing Lead, you will take full ownership of media strategy, planning, execution, and performance tracking across East Africa. You will act as the central point of coordination across agencies, brand teams, and partners—ensuring all campaigns are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
Media Strategy, Planning & Execution
- Lead the end-to-end development and rollout of integrated media plans (offline and digital) across multiple brands.
- Drive execution in line with marketing calendars, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
- Coordinate closely with creative and digital agencies to deliver localized, high-impact campaigns.
- Monitor and optimize media performance across channels, ensuring strong ROI.
Agency & Stakeholder Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations of media and influencer agencies.
- Manage relationships with third-party monitoring partners for compliance, reporting, and competitive intelligence.
- Act as the key liaison between marketing teams, agencies, and external partners.
Influencer & Strategist
- Support the development and execution of influencer marketing strategies across priority brands.
- Drive the creation and delivery of impactful “Others Say” content.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver integrated campaigns that resonate with consumers.
Performance Measurement & Reporting
- Embed clear measurement frameworks into all campaigns.
- Track and report on media KPIs (monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc).
- Translate complex data into actionable insights to inform future strategies.
- Manage media budgets and ensure efficient allocation of spend.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in media planning, buying, or integrated communications (agency and/or client-side).
- Strong experience across both digital and traditional media channels.
- Proven ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Experience managing media budgets and large-scale campaigns.
- Hands-on experience in influencer marketing and social media.
