JOB DETAILS:
The county’s rich history is joined at the hip with that of the entire nation. When the Kenya-Uganda railway line was constructed, although heavily criticized as the Lunatic Express or a road to nowhere, it had a profound impact on the creation of the nation today known as Kenya.
Responsibilities or duties
- Taking history, examining, diagnosing, and treating patients’ common ailments;
- Implementing community health care activities in liaison with other health workers;
- Guiding and counselling patients, clients, and staff on health issues;
- Sensitizing patients and clients on preventive and promotive health;
- Carrying out minor surgical procedures as per training and skill;
- Collecting and compiling clinical data;
- Referring patients and clients to appropriate health facilities;
- Assists in preoperative assessment, administration of anaesthesia, monitoring patients during surgery, and post-operative care under supervision of senior anaesthetists.
Qualifications or requirements
- Diploma in Clinical Medicine & Surgery or Clinical Medicine & Community Health;
- Higher Diploma in Clinical Medicine – Anaesthesia;
- Valid anaesthesia practicing license from the Clinical Officers Council;
- Registration Certificate from the Clinical Officers Council;
- Certificate in Computer Application Skills
