Background information about the job or company
A dynamic healthcare facility located along the Ruiru Eastern Bypass is seeking a qualified, registered, and patient-centered Registered Clinical Officer (RCO). The successful candidate will provide high-quality primary healthcare services, accurate clinical diagnoses, and emergency medical care within our growing outpatient department.
Responsibilities or duties
- Patient Consultations: Examine, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with various acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Clinical Procedures: Perform routine and emergency clinical procedures, including minor surgical interventions, wound care, and dressing changes.
- Treatment & Prescriptions: Administer appropriate treatment and prescribe medications in strict adherence to national clinical guidelines.
- Patient Management & Triaging: Manage patient flows efficiently, ensure accurate triaging, and coordinate critical referrals to specialized facilities when necessary.
- Medical Records: Compile and maintain precise, complete, and confidential digital or physical medical records for all patient encounters.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Clinical Medicine and Surgery from a recognized and approved training institution.
- Licensing: Must possess a valid, current practicing license from the Clinical Officers Council (COC) of Kenya.
Experience needed
Previous experience working in a busy outpatient department or a community clinic environment is preferred.
