Minimum Requirements

  • Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery from a recognized institution.
  • Registered and licensed by the Clinical Officers Council (COC) with a valid 2026 practicing license.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ post-graduation clinical experience.
  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Essential Competencies

  • Excellent patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment skills.
  • Strong clinical decision-making and critical thinking abilities.
  • Proficiency in performing and interpreting Point-of-Care Tests (POCT/RDTs).
  • Sound knowledge of emergency stabilization and triage.
  • Ability to manage both acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Competence in minor surgical procedures (suturing, incision & drainage, wound management, etc.).
  • Safe prescribing practices and rational use of medicines.
  • Good understanding of infection prevention and control (IPC) principles.
  • Excellent documentation and medical record-keeping skills.
  • Strong communication, counseling, and patient education skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • High ethical standards, professionalism, and compassion.
  • Computer literacy and experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) will be an added advantage.
