Responsibilities or duties
Being responsible for the overall management and administration of the Research, Planning, and Development Division.
Facilitating the day-to-day operations of the division, including staff supervision and administrative communication.
Being responsible for the division's staff development, performance management, and performance contracting.
Responsible for budgeting, procurement, and work plans for the division.
Responsible for the implementation of the University Strategic Plan, including the identification of medium-term and long-term key priority areas in line with the University's Vision and Mission.
Providing secretarial services to the Divisional meetings as provided by the University Statutes.
Coordinating the promotion and facilitation of leading-edge research, including collaborative and interdisciplinary research in line with the university and national research agenda.
Building and providing sufficient support for a community of innovative researchers to enhance research capacity at the University.
Developing, activating, and managing research networks between university staff and researchers and other research centers/partners, in public and private sectors, locally, nationally, and internationally.
Acting as the link between the University and the community with respect to research initiatives of mutual benefit.
Coordinating outreach activities and technology transfer.
