Role Overview:
The Relationship Manager – Credit will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of credit customers in the Nyanza region. This role involves assessing client creditworthiness, structuring credit facilities, monitoring portfolio performance and ensuring adherence to the bank’s credit policies. The role holder will liaise with branch staff, business bankers and risk teams to deliver timely and profitable credit solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Originate and process credit applications for commercial and retail clients in the region
• Conduct credit risk assessments, financial analysis and prepare credit proposals
• Monitor portfolio performance and identify early signs of deterioration
• Collaborate with relationship banking, product and risk teams to ensure alignment with risk appetite
• Provide support to clients on credit facility utilisation, compliance, repayments and renewals
• Maintain strong client relationships and represent the bank professionally in the region
