JOB DETAILS:
Background
The International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) works to improve food security and reduce poverty in developing countries through research for better and more sustainable livestock. ILRI is a CGIAR research centre.
The position is based in Nairobi, Kenya.
Responsibilities
The Research Assistants will be responsible for the following:
- Conducting field surveys and data collection.
- Assisting in data entry and cleaning.
- Supporting research activities as directed by the supervisor.
- Participating in team meetings and discussions.
Qualifications
The ideal candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Agriculture, Animal Science, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in data collection and field research is an advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in English and Swahili.
Experience
While prior experience is an advantage, fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

This is a fixed-term contract position.
