Role Objective:

  • As a Research & Strategy Analyst, your role is to enhance the efficiency and local market alignment in Kenya. The role is designed to support our on-the-ground efforts in industry research, opportunity identification, and external engagement across multiple industries. The addition of a local team member will significantly improve our responsiveness to market dynamics, regulatory developments, and partnership opportunities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Public Policy, Development Studies, or related fields.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in market research, consulting, business development, or policy analysis.
  • Strong research and analytical skills; ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
  • Familiarity with Kenya's local business landscape, government agencies, and regulatory bodies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage with partners and stakeholders independently.
  • Self-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a dynamic, cross-cultural environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research on key industry sectors and draft research reports, memos, and business briefs for internal review.
  • Participate in meetings, events, and field visits to gather first-hand market intelligence.
  • Support mapping of market players, potential partners, and competitor strategies.
  • Track policy changes, licensing requirements, and regulatory updates relevant to the Kenya franchise.
  • Assist in analyzing feasibility of sector-specific entry models and roadmap.
