Responsibilities

The Resident Medical Officer/Clinic Lead will be responsible for overseeing clinical operations, managing staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This role requires strong clinical decision-making and leadership skills.

Qualifications and Requirements

Academic qualification: Bachelor of Medicine or Bachelor of Surgery from a recognized university (MBChB or MBBS). Registered and with a valid license from the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council. At least one (1) year post-internship experience in either a public or private hospital. Certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Knowledge of healthcare policies, documentation, and reporting procedures. Proficiency in computer skills (especially Health Management Information Systems).

Desirable Skills

Strong clinical decision-making and patient management skills. Interest in leading a medical team, managing staff, and overseeing clinical operations. Project management and report writing skills. Leadership experience, financial knowledge, e.g., budgeting, cost management, basic accounting. Knowledge of the laws of Kenya, regulations, guidelines, and health schemes. Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with staff, patients, and other stakeholders.
