Background information about the job or company
Kenya Institute of Supplies Management is a national body for professionals in the practice of procurement and supplies management in Kenya. The Institute draws its mandate from the Supplies Practitioners Management Act No.17 of 2007.
Responsibilities or duties
The Successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating KISM workshops, webinars, and in-house trainings. In addition to training, we shall also engage them in consultancy services such as the development of procurement manuals, policies, course outlines, and presentations in specialized areas. Vocational& Continuing Education
Qualifications or requirements
The applicants should meet the following minimum qualifications and requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, preferably a business-related discipline;
- A Master’s degree in a relevant field;
- A professional qualification in procurement and supply chain management, or in the relevant area of specialization for other disciplines;
- Prior training or facilitation experience in the relevant area of expertise/interest will be an added advantage.
- Possession of a valid KISM Practitioners License for applicants in the Supply Chain Management discipline;
- Registration as a member in good standing with KISM, or another relevant professional body for other disciplines;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint;
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills;
- Demonstrated previous experience in training, facilitation, or capacity building will be an added advantage.
Experience needed
At least ten (10) years of practical experience in Procurement and Supply Chain Management or in a relevant professional field;
- Facilitating KISM workshops, webinars, and in-house trainings.
- Engaging in consultancy services such as the development of procurement manuals, policies, course outlines, and presentations in specialized areas.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Training, facilitation, or capacity building experience.
