Background

Gulf African Bank is seeking a Retails Schemes Officer to lead relationship management for retail scheme customers. This is an on-site role based in Nairobi, Kenya.

Job Purpose

Lead relationship management for retail scheme customers—including companies, institutions, and individual customers —while maintaining a quality scheme book at an acceptable PAR. This will be achieved through continuous monitoring of the scheme facility book for distress signals, proactive engagement with scheme companies and customers to ensure timely payments, and coordination with bank departments and external parties to maintain a quality facility book.

Responsibilities

  • Lead relationship management for retail scheme customers.
  • Maintain a quality scheme book at an acceptable PAR.
  • Continuously monitor the scheme facility book for distress signals.
  • Proactively engage with scheme companies and customers to ensure timely payments.
  • Coordinate with bank departments and external parties to maintain a quality facility book.

Qualifications and Experience

  • University degree in a business-related field.
  • Awareness of financial services.
  • Knowledge of the credit industry, legal processes, and their application in scheme administration.
  • Relationship Management experience.
  • Strong public relations skills in formal and social settings, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Credit management experience.
  • Portfolio management experience in a financial institution.
