Job Requirement

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Accounting, Finance, Business Administration option) or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Served in the grade of Revenue Officer II or in an equivalent and relevant position for a minimum period of three (3) years.
• Knowledge of the Nairobi City County Revenue Administration Act, 2021.
• Proficiency in computer applications and revenue management systems.
• Integrity and commitment to produce results, with ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.

Job Description

The Revenue Officer I will be responsible for the following functions: -

• Collecting and accounting for revenue in the assigned revenue streams or Sub-County.
• Registering revenue payers and updating records in the revenue system.
• Issuing invoices, demand notices and receipts through the approved revenue system.
• Carrying out field inspections and reporting non-compliance.
• Preparing daily revenue collection returns.
• Guiding Revenue Officers II and Revenue Assistants.
• Any other duties as may be allocated by the supervisor.
