ABOUT THE ROLE
The Risk Management Officer will identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate operational, financial, regulatory, and reputational risks across Denvex Pharmaceuticals Kenya, ensuring business continuity and compliance.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Company’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework
- Identify, assess, and document operational, financial, compliance, and strategic risks
- Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and business continuity planning exercises
- Monitor risk indicators and prepare risk reports for senior management and the Board
- Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical regulatory requirements – PPB, KEBS, ISO 9001:2015
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, controls, and action plans
- Investigate incidents, near-misses, and non-conformances and recommend corrective actions
- Train staff on risk awareness, compliance, and internal control procedures
- Liaise with insurance providers, auditors, legal counsel, and regulatory bodies
- Support the development and review of Company policies and standard operating procedures
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, Law, Pharmacy, or a related field
- Professional certification in Risk Management – CRM, CRMA, or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in risk management, compliance, or internal audit
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulatory environment – PPB, KEBS, ISO standards
- Strong analytical, report writing, and stakeholder communication skills
- Experience in developing ERM frameworks and business continuity plans
- High level of integrity, independence, and professional judgment
