The KCB Foundation is the corporate social responsibility arm of KCB Bank. It focuses on improving livelihoods through various initiatives, including entrepreneurship development, health, education, and environmental conservation. The foundation seeks to recruit a qualified individual to fill the position of SME Strategy and Financial Advisor.
Responsibilities or duties
The SME Strategy and Financial Advisor will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and financial advisory services to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) supported by the KCB Foundation. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing strategies to enhance the growth and sustainability of SMEs.
- Providing financial analysis, planning, and forecasting support to SMEs.
- Assisting SMEs in accessing finance and managing their financial resources effectively.
- Conducting market research and feasibility studies for new business ventures.
- Mentoring and coaching SME owners on business management and financial best practices.
- Monitoring the performance of supported SMEs and providing regular reports.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CFA) will be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of financial management, accounting principles, and corporate finance.
- Proven experience in strategic planning and business development.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis software.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience needed
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in financial advisory, strategic consulting, or SME development. Experience working with SMEs in Kenya is highly desirable.
