Mini Group is a dynamic, multi-industry conglomerate with a strong presence across East Africa. We specialize in diverse sectors including baking, real estate, construction, telecommunications, energy, auto spares, hospitality, manufacturing, trading, and microfinance.
On behalf of an internal client, a SACCO is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Accountant to manage financial records, support accounting operations, prepare financial reports, and ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, and SACCO regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain accurate books of accounts, general ledger, and financial records
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Support budgeting, budget monitoring, and variance analysis
- Manage cash and bank transactions, including bank reconciliations
- Maintain and reconcile member accounts, contributions, and loan repayments
- Support loan accounting, receivables recovery, and reporting
- Process supplier invoices and payments
- Support payroll processing and statutory remittances
- Support internal and external audits
- Maintain fixed asset records and financial controls
- Utilise Microsoft Dynamics 365 for financial posting and reporting
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Knowledge of SACCO/cooperative accounting and SASRA requirements
- Strong financial reporting, reconciliation, budgeting, and loan accounting skills
- High integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail
- Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field
- Experience in SACCO/cooperative accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and loan accounting is an added advantage
