Mini Group is a dynamic, multi-industry conglomerate with a strong presence across East Africa. We specialize in diverse sectors including baking, real estate, construction, telecommunications, energy, auto spares, hospitality, manufacturing, trading, and microfinance.

On behalf of an internal client, a SACCO is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Accountant to manage financial records, support accounting operations, prepare financial reports, and ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, and SACCO regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain accurate books of accounts, general ledger, and financial records
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Support budgeting, budget monitoring, and variance analysis
  • Manage cash and bank transactions, including bank reconciliations
  • Maintain and reconcile member accounts, contributions, and loan repayments
  • Support loan accounting, receivables recovery, and reporting
  • Process supplier invoices and payments
  • Support payroll processing and statutory remittances
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Maintain fixed asset records and financial controls
  • Utilise Microsoft Dynamics 365 for financial posting and reporting

KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Knowledge of SACCO/cooperative accounting and SASRA requirements
  • Strong financial reporting, reconciliation, budgeting, and loan accounting skills
  • High integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field
  • Experience in SACCO/cooperative accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and loan accounting is an added advantage
  • Maintain accurate books of accounts, general ledger, and financial records
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Support budgeting, budget monitoring, and variance analysis
