About the Role

The Sales Account Manager will be responsible for developing and executing effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets for Holiday Inn Two Rivers.

The role involves building strong relationships with new and existing clients, identifying business opportunities, and securing bookings across key market segments, in line with IHG commercial standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales plans to drive revenue for Holiday Inn Two Rivers
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within the corporate, travel trade, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Exhibitions), and leisure markets
  • Identify, qualify, and proactively pursue new business opportunities
  • Negotiate and close contracts for rooms, meetings, and events
  • Manage and grow existing client accounts to ensure high levels of satisfaction and repeat business
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations highlighting the hotel's facilities and IHG brand offerings
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity and adapt sales strategies accordingly
  • Work closely with hotel operational teams to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction
  • Achieve and consistently exceed individual sales targets

Skills and Experience Required

  • Proven experience in hotel sales, preferably 4-5 years in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of the Nairobi hospitality market, including corporate, travel trade, MICE, and leisure segments
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Target-driven, results-oriented, and self-motivated
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Prior experience selling a 4-5 star IHG or internationally branded hotel will be an added advantage
