About BasiGo

BasiGo is a pioneering e-mobility start-up driving a transformation in Africa’s public transportation. BasiGo provides an electric bus solution as a sustainable, cost-effective alternative to diesel buses for private operators in Kenya. At the heart of BasiGo’s innovation is our Pay-As-You-Drive model, making electric bus ownership and operation accessible and affordable for private sector operators across Africa.

About the Role

The Sales Admin Executive is the backbone of the Sales Department, ensuring the team is organised, efficient, and positioned for success.

The Sales team is responsible for driving revenue growth through acquiring new customers, entering new markets, retaining existing clients, and expanding relationships across multiple customer segments and geographic regions.

The Sales Admin Executive plays a critical role in enabling this success by ensuring the team has the structure, information, coordination, and support required to deliver exceptional customer experiences and achieve commercial targets.

At BasiGo, where the demand for electric mobility solutions including E-Buses, E-Vans, and charging infrastructure continues to grow rapidly, this role is critical in supporting a high-performing sales organisation.

This position is the “secret service” behind the Sales Team — ensuring that the team has the right information, systems, reporting, and coordination to succeed. The success of the sales team is a reflection of the excellence delivered behind the scenes by the Sales Admin Executive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate incoming sales enquiries, ensuring timely responses, tracking, and follow-up.
  • Support the sales team with lead management, customer information, pipeline updates, reporting, and sales activity tracking.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and ensure effective customer relationship management through CRM systems.
  • Develop and maintain sales reports, dashboards, and insights to support decision-making.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure sales opportunities progress smoothly from enquiry through to delivery and closure.
  • Provide field sales teams with the necessary information, documentation, and tools required for effective customer engagement.
  • Track sales performance, pipeline development, customer engagement activities, and key commercial metrics.
  • Support the organisation of customer meetings, proposals, presentations, and sales documentation.
  • Manage communication platforms and customer touchpoints to ensure a consistent customer experience.
  • Identify opportunities to improve sales processes, communication flows, and overall team effectiveness.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualification in Sales, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong proficiency in CRM systems, dashboards, reporting tools, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams and departments.
  • Experience in a sales or project management environment for 2 years or more, and in the automotive industry, will be advantageous
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple customer platforms and interactions.
  • Excellent prioritisation, organisation, and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced and growing environment.
  • A vibrant, energetic, and proactive approach to work.
  • Willingness and curiosity to learn, grow, and understand the commercial engine behind a successful sales organisation.
