Our client is seeking a highly driven, results-oriented, and experienced Sales Executive with strong FMCG field sales exposure, specifically within the cereals or food distribution sector. The Sales Executive will be responsible for driving wholesale cereals sales, expanding distribution networks, managing key accounts, and consistently achieving monthly target.
The ideal candidate must have strong experience in Kenya’s food distribution ecosystem and demonstrated success in territory growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute territory sales strategies to achieve and exceed monthly sales targets.
- Grow and manage relationships with: Food distributors, Supermarket procurement teams and Hotel, Restaurant & Catering (HoReCa) buyers.
- Identify and onboard new distribution partners and retail accounts.
- Manage and grow an active sales pipeline independently.
- Conduct regular field visits to distributors, supermarkets, and HoReCa clients.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing movements.
- Prepare sales reports and performance tracking using Excel and CRM tools.
- Ensure timely collection of payments and account reconciliation.
- Provide data-driven sales insights to management.
Mandatory Qualifications (Strictly Screened)
- Bachelor’s Degree in: Business Administration, Marketing, Sales & Distribution, Agribusiness or Food Science.
- OR Diploma / Professional Certification in Sales or Supply Chain
- 2–4 years hands-on field sales experience in FMCG / Food products.
- Direct selling exposure to: Food distributors, Supermarket procurement teams or HoReCa buyers.
- Strong understanding of Kenya’s food market and cereals distribution networks.
- Demonstrated evidence of: Growing territory sales, Independently managing a sales pipeline and Meeting or exceeding monthly sales targets.
- Computer literacy is mandatory (Excel proficiency required).
- Proficiency in: MS Excel, CRM systems and Mobile sales reporting tools.
