The Emergency Plus Medical Services (E-Plus) concept was born out of a tragedy in 2006, when a senior employee of KRCS was involved in an accident in the upper Eastern Region of Isiolo County.

Emergency Plus Medical Services (E-Plus) is seeking highly motivated, ambitious, and results-oriented individuals to join our Business Development and Sales Internship Program. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for candidates to gain practical experience in business development, sales, customer relationship management, and corporate partnerships within a fast-paced healthcare environment. Interns will work alongside experienced professionals, participate in meaningful projects, and receive mentorship that will enhance their professional and personal development. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to develop essential sales and business development skills while contributing to the organization's growth objectives. Throughout the program, interns' performance, initiative, and potential will be continuously assessed, with outstanding performers being considered for transition into full-time Sales Executive roles within the organization.

Responsibilities or duties

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities by building a strong pipeline of prospects through networking, referrals, market research, and structured prospecting.
  • Generate qualified leads, conduct follow-up engagements, and convert prospects into long-term customers.
  • Prepare professional proposals, quotations, and presentations, and confidently deliver sales pitches to prospective clients.
  • Support the acquisition, retention, and growth of customer accounts by delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Assist in the development and execution of annual sales plans and business development strategies to achieve organizational targets.
  • Work closely with the Business Development team to ensure timely onboarding of new clients, renewal of existing contracts, and effective resolution of customer needs.
  • Proactively identify sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, digital platforms, and relationship-building initiatives.
  • Represent E-Plus at exhibitions, trade fairs, activations, conferences, and other marketing events to promote the organization's products and services and generate new business leads.
  • Gather customer and market feedback, monitor competitor activities, and share insights with internal teams to support product and service improvements.
  • Contribute to special projects, sales campaigns, and other assignments that support the growth and strategic objectives of the Business Development Department.

Qualifications or requirements 

  • Degree or Diploma in relevant field
  • At least 1 year Sales Experience
  • Self-Driven
  • Time management
  • Prospecting
