Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Sales Manager with extensive background in the FMCG sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our sales team, developing strategic sales plans, and driving market share growth across Nairobi and surrounding regions. This is a senior leadership role requiring a proven track record of achieving sales targets and building strong distributor relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies and operational plans to achieve company revenue and volume targets.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales representatives and team leaders to maximize performance and productivity.
  • Manage and strengthen relationships with key distributors, wholesalers, and major retail accounts.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify new business opportunities and areas for growth.
  • Ensure effective territory management and optimal resource allocation for maximum market penetration.
  • Monitor competitor activity and market dynamics, adapting strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Prepare and present regular sales performance reports to senior management.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Must have at least 10 years of proven sales experience within the FMCG sector, with a significant portion in a managerial capacity.
  • Demonstrable success in managing a sales team and driving significant revenue growth.
  • Strong existing network and relationships with key players in the FMCG distribution chain in Kenya.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in using sales data software and MS Office applications.
