Key Duties/Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute day-to-day sales activities between the Company and customers, including order processing, delivery confirmation, and payment collection
- Follow established route plans and customer visit schedules, maximizing productive selling time while ensuring coverage of all assigned accounts.
- Achieve and exceed daily sales targets by implementing effective selling methodologies that persuade customers to purchase products.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with personnel through regular visits, professional interactions, and responsive service.
- Implement high merchandising standards with precision in all assigned accounts, ensuring proper product placement, promotional displays, and brand presentation.
- Remove damaged, expired, or substandard products from sales floors, processing returns according to company policies.
- Respond promptly to customer feedback to maintain satisfaction and loyalty among assigned accounts. Gather and relay the feedback to appropriate internal stakeholders.
- Track consumer reactions to new products and promotional offers providing feedback to inform future sales and marketing strategies.
- Identify potential new customers, sales channels, and business opportunities within the assigned territory, sharing recommendations with the Area Sales Manager.
- Maintain close contact with Shop Attendants, Turnboys, and Drivers who support sales operations, ensuring alignment on objectives and adherence to service standards.
- Prepare and submit required reports according to established schedules.
- Collaborate with operations teams to optimize route efficiency, delivery timing, and territory coverage.
- Document key performance metrics.
Academic and Professional Qualifications and experience required
- Diploma in a relevant field (Sales, Marketing) preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar position in the FMCG category, preferably with direct store delivery or route sales background.
- Professional qualification in sales, marketing, or related field would be an added advantage.
- Demonstrated success in field sales, customer relationship management, and merchandising implementation.
