Keda Ceramics International Limited is a manufacturing company of ceramics tiles and sanitary ware located in Miwani, Kisumu County and sitting on 150 acres with its headquarters in Guangzhou, China.

With the introduction of the daily use porcelain product line and the additional sales activities required for this product category, KEDA Ceramics International Ltd is seeking an additional Sales Specialist to support the growth of this business line.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and following up on sales opportunities, converting prospects into customers, and expanding the customer base. The role will work closely with the existing sales team to accelerate sales growth and contribute to the overall development of the department. The position will be based in Kisumu and will cover the Western Kenya market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market and sell ceramic products to a wide range of clients, including retailers, distributors, and wholesalers.
  • Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities and customer segments.
  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Conduct product presentations, client visits, market research, and data collection to achieve set sales targets.
  • Prepare quotations, negotiate prices, and close sales in line with established company policies.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, customer preferences, and pricing strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, prospects, and market feedback.
  • Work closely with showroom, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure timely order processing and delivery.
  • Handle customer complaints and follow up on issues to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor sales orders and provide clients with the necessary information in a timely manner.
  • Deliver invoices and other relevant documentation to clients to facilitate timely payments and enhance accountability.
  • Follow up on prospective customers and convert qualified leads into actual sales.
  • Provide regular sales reports and market feedback to management.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or degree in Sales and Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of proven sales experience, preferably in the ceramic industry or a related field.
  • Experience selling ceramic plates, bowls, cups, sanitary ware, tiles, or other related building and finishing products.
  • Strong knowledge of ceramic product types, sizes, finishes, applications, and market segments.
  • Proven ability to develop new customers, generate leads, and convert prospects into sales.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.
