Position Summary

Reporting to the Category Manager – Non-Food, the Sales Team Lead – Non-Food will manage a team of Trade Marketers, monitor in-store activities, ensure compliance with FIFO stock rotation, track sales performance, and oversee promotional activities. This role ensures operational discipline and achievement of sales targets across the territory.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Territory Sell-Out Execution

  • Own and deliver sell-out targets across assigned outlets.
  • Monitor stock levels, shelf presence, pricing, and promotional compliance during daily/weekly outlet visits.
  • Ensure correct implementation of promotional pricing and POS materials.
  • Drive reorders to prevent stock-outs and escalate availability challenges.

In-Store Execution & Compliance

  • Enforce FIFO discipline and ensure products are correctly merchandised and priced.
  • Verify planogram compliance and address deviations.
  • Submit weekly compliance reports, including photographic evidence from outlet visits.

Trade Marketer Management

  • Supervise and assign tasks to Trade Marketers, ensuring optimal outlet coverage.
  • Provide training on active SKUs, product knowledge, and promotional activities.
  • Review daily activity reports and ensure high execution standards.

Customer & Issue Management

  • Resolve outlet-level issues related to stock, execution challenges, and promotional compliance.
  • Escalate commercial disputes, customer complaints, and operational risks to the Category Manager.

Reporting & Performance Monitoring

Prepare and submit the following reports:

  • Weekly Sell-Out Performance Report
  • Field Execution & Compliance Report
  • Trade Marketer Activity Report
  • Promotional Execution Report
  • Customer Issues & Escalation Log

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years experience in sales, merchandising, or retail operations, preferably within FMCG or non-food categories.
  • Experience supervising field teams or Trade Marketers is required.
  • Strong exposure to modern trade and retail execution environments.

  • In-depth understanding of retail execution, merchandising, and in-store operations.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.
