Key Responsibilities

Loan Origination & Sales

  • Actively generate new business through field sales, referrals, and market activations
  • Guide customers through the loan application process
  • Conduct due diligence and ensure accurate documentation
  • Train clients in line with 4G Capital’s educational mission
  • Achieve monthly disbursement and active client targets

Relationship Management

  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with customers
  • Offer advisory support—our clients refer to us as “Mwalimu” because we teach, guide, and empower
  • Maintain constant communication and promptly resolve customer issues
  • Develop partnerships with community influencers and referral sources

Credit & Risk Management

  • Follow all credit policies and due diligence standards
  • Assess client risk and verify customer information
  • Monitor portfolio performance and escalate risks early

Market Knowledge & Reporting

  • Stay informed on market trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs
  • Provide regular field insights to branch and regional leadership

Qualifications

  • Diploma, certificate, or bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field
  • Proven sales experience, preferably in financial services
  • Experience meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Understanding of lending products, credit processes, and risk assessment
  • Willingness to work outside Nairobi and relocate immediately is required
  • Ability to communicate effectively in local languages is a strong advantage

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong sales and negotiation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Customer-first mindset with the ability to connect with micro-business owners
  • Organised, disciplined, and able to manage field work independently
  • Basic digital literacy (smartphone and apps usage)
