About the Role
We are a leader in home health and are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Scheduling Coordinator to join our Care Manager team. This role is essential to delivering a higher level of care by ensuring strong compatibility between clients and caregivers while maintaining high standards of customer and employee satisfaction.
The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, responsive, and thrives in a fast‑paced healthcare environment with complex scheduling demands. Prior experience in healthcare or medical administration is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Client & Caregiver Coordination
- Provide exceptional customer service and sales support to clients, families, caregivers, and referral sources
- Communicate clearly, efficiently, and compassionately with clients, caregivers, physicians, and discharge nurses
- Protect and promote the integrity and reputation of the company
Scheduling & Staffing
- Manage ongoing client staffing and scheduling for new and existing engagements
- Ensure compatible client‑caregiver matches
- Manage staff absences and last‑minute schedule changes to maintain full coverage
- Conduct new client intakes and onboarding coordination
Operations & Case Management
- Answer and manage office phone communications professionally
- Perform case management activities as required
- Arbitrate employment‑related issues affecting field staff and clients
- Complete administrative tasks such as filing, organizing, and office coordination
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional telephone presence with warmth and empathy
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Highly motivated self‑starter with the ability to work independently
- Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills
Education & Experience
- College degree preferred
- Prior experience in medical, healthcare, or home health environments strongly preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong customer service background
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex scheduling demands
- Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new systems quickly
