Overview
Nova Pioneer is looking for a superstar School Dorm Father who will be responsible for the pastoral life of our students' boarding experience at Tatu Boys High School. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of an innovative network of schools that is developing generations of innovators and leaders who will shape the African Century.

Key responsibilities for the role include:
1. Playing the role of a 'parent' for the students in a professional working relationship.
2. Being a role model in all actions and behavior to the students.
3. Defending the rights of the child.
4. Creating a safe environment for teenagers to develop their emotional and social skills.
5. Supervising the well-being, discipline, and behavior of students.
6. Observing emotional behavior and referring them to the school counselors.
7. Maintaining cleanness in dorms.
8. Report any cases of sickness or health concerns to the Dean of Residential Life.
9. Implementing the residential schedules for the students.
10. Supervision of the student's hygiene and neatness.
11. Keeping records and reports of residential issues/occurrences within their assigned spaces.
12. Executing any other duty that may be assigned by the Dean of Residential Life.
13. Note: This role requires you to live on campus with flexible working hours including working on weekends.

Skills and Qualifications required:
1. Certificate/Diploma in social work or any other relevant course in child welfare.
2. 2+ years of experience working with students.
3. Professional counseling skills with a proven track record will be an advantage.
4. Knowledge and experience working with teenagers before
5. You are flexible and open to change - you handle uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity well.
6. You are a problem solver - you are proactive in identifying issues and address these thoroughly by making effort to find appropriate solutions.
7. You are excited about our organizational culture—and in particular, you are fired up to challenge yourself by embracing mutual vulnerability and a firehose of feedback.
