JOB DETAILS:
SCHOOL MATRON (1 Post)
Job Summary
The School Matron is responsible for ensuring the welfare, health, discipline, and overall well-being of students residing in the school boarding facilities. The role also includes maintaining a safe, clean, and supportive boarding environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily welfare and well-being of boarding students.
- Monitor students' hygiene, health, and personal care.
- Maintain discipline within the boarding facilities in accordance with school policies.
- Ensure dormitories and boarding facilities are clean, safe, and well maintained.
- Coordinate medical care for sick students and maintain health records.
- Provide guidance and counselling support where necessary.
- Monitor meals, nutrition, and general welfare of boarders.
- Report student welfare concerns to school management.
- Supervise housekeeping staff assigned to the boarding section.
- Support school activities and perform other duties assigned by the Principal.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma in Education, Social Work, Community Development, Nursing, Counselling, or a related field.
- Experience working in a boarding school or similar institution is an added advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong leadership, counselling, and conflict resolution abilities.
- High level of integrity, patience, and professionalism.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when required.

Level of Education: high school
