Background

Responsibilities

• Control access at the school gate by verifying identity, issuing visitor passes, and maintaining entry records.
• Monitor and record all movements of people, vehicles, and materials entering and leaving the premises.
• Conduct regular patrols to ensure safety and security of the school compound.
• Enforce compliance with school security procedures, including gate pass controls.
• Maintain accurate records in the Occurrence Book (OB) and report all incidents promptly.
• Ensure protection of school property and prevent theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access.
• Respond to emergencies, alarms, and security incidents in a timely and professional manner.
• Support enforcement of safety procedures during school activities and events.

Qualifications

• KCSE Certificate or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in security services, preferably in a school or institutional setting.
• Training in security operations or guarding is an added advantage.
• Good physical fitness and ability to work shifts (day/night).
• Basic knowledge of security procedures and reporting.
