Job Summary

The Security Officer is responsible for protecting the company’s assets by preventing theft, damage, misuse, or sabotage while ensuring a safe and secure operating environment. The role involves working closely with law enforcement agencies, developing and implementing security awareness and emergency response programs, and confidentially managing all security-related information. With a strong understanding of the company’s operations, the officer supports staff and stakeholders through continuous sensitization on security matters.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Safeguard security of company assets against theft, pilferage, damage, misuse or sabotage.
• Liaise with law enforcement agencies to ensure effective execution of security services.
• Sensitize internal and external customers on matters of general security.
• Develop and implement security awareness training programs.
• Receive and deal with any information that has a security dimension in a confidential manner.
• Develop and implement programs and procedures to address emergency situations
• Implement programs and procedures to address emergency situations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree Security management or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Four (4) years' work experience in security services or relevant function.
• Thorough understanding of company business.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Attention to detail.
• High levels of integrity and ethics.
