Responsibilities or duties

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
• Monitor hospital premises, entrances, and restricted areas through regular patrols.
• Control access to the hospital, ensuring only authorized personnel and visitors enter designated areas.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, incidents, or breaches of hospital security protocols.
• Assist in managing patients who may pose a risk to themselves or others in a calm and professional manner.
• Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences.
• Collaborate with hospital staff to support a therapeutic and safe environment.
• Any other duty as may be assigned

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

• Excellent observational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle sensitive situations professionally.
• Knowledge of basic first aid is an added advantage.
• Physically fit

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E) or equivalent.
• Valid security training and certification (preferably from a recognized security institution in Kenya).
• Experience in a healthcare or mental health facility is an added advantage.
