Responsibilities or duties
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Monitor hospital premises, entrances, and restricted areas through regular patrols.
- Control access to the hospital, ensuring only authorized personnel and visitors enter designated areas.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, incidents, or breaches of hospital security protocols.
- Assist in managing patients who may pose a risk to themselves or others in a calm and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences.
- Collaborate with hospital staff to support a therapeutic and safe environment.
- Any other duty as may be assigned
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Excellent observational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle sensitive situations professionally.
- Knowledge of basic first aid is an added advantage.
- Physically fit
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E) or equivalent.
- Valid security training and certification (preferably from a recognized security institution in Kenya).
- Experience in a healthcare or mental health facility is an added advantage.
