POSITION OVERVIEW
To develop, execute, and continuously improve internal communication strategies for clients while aligning with the company’s vision, and connected to its culture and values. The role requires a creative storyteller and relationship-builder who can translate business priorities into messages that resonate with employees across all levels and locations.
ACCOUNTABILITY
Reports to: Senior Account Manager
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement the internal communications strategies and calendar in line with business priorities, culture, and employee engagement goals.
- Craft clear, engaging, and consistent messaging for staff and organisational initiatives.
- Manage internal communication channels (intranet, email newsletters, Yammer/Viva Engage, Town halls) ensuring content is timely, relevant, and on-brand.
- Partner closely with HR, Leadership, and business units to translate strategic priorities into compelling internal narratives.
- Plan and coordinate employee engagement events (town halls, staff forums, wellness days, culture activations).
- Support change management communications during organisational transitions, restructures, or new initiative rollouts.
- Develop creative content formats (videos, infographics, podcasts, quizzes) to make communications more engaging and interactive.
- Build strong relationships across departments to gather stories, staff achievements, and insights that humanise company communications.
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of internal communications (surveys, engagement metrics, feedback) and refine approaches accordingly.
- Act as a brand and culture ambassador, ensuring messaging reflects client’s values and tone of voice.
- Provide communications counsel and support to clients.
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Creative thinker: Ability to turn complex information into engaging, digestible content.
- People’s person: Able to build trust and rapport easily across all levels of the organisation, from frontline staff to executives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong storytelling ability.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with digital communication tools and platforms (intranet CMS, email marketing tools, social collaboration platforms).
- Project management and coordination skills.
- Data-driven mindset: Has the ability to use engagement metrics to inform strategy.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a fast-paced agency or corporate environment, managing communications or marketing initiatives.
- Proficiency in content strategy, including message development, audience identification, and brand voice.
- Proficiency in digital platforms, analytics tools, and content scheduling tools
- Creative, analytical mindset with a strong passion for storytelling, employee engagement, and consumer brands.
- Proven ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously while consistently meeting tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience presenting to, influencing, and consulting clients and organizational leaders.
- Practical experience administering modern internal channels.
