Key Duties & Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Compliance
Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; manage tax filings/statutory returns and audit requirements; coordinate external auditors and tax authorities; implement and maintain internal control frameworks suitable for distribution operations.
Budgeting & Financial Planning
Coordinate the annual budgeting process across departments; monitor budget performance and conduct variance analysis; monitor cash flow and working capital to ensure adequate liquidity.
Financial Analysis & Business Partnership
Provide financial insights to the GM and department heads; monitor DSO and escalate credit risk in partnership with the Commercial Manager; proactively flag inventory write-off risk.
Team Leadership
Supervise the Accountant and Accounts Assistant; coach, develop, and build capability within the finance team.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field;
- minimum 7 years’ experience in finance or auditing; CPA(K) plus one additional certification (e.g., Diploma in Management/IT);
- ICPAK membership in good standing and meets ICPAK training requirements.
