Kisiwa Technical Training Institute registration number MOHEST/PC/1144/09, under the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology was formally registered as East Bukusu Kisiwa Youth Club of the Elgon Nyanza District on 27th November, 1961 by the Kenya Youth Club Association and the first Courses were; Shoe making, Carpentry and Masonry and the founder members were Domnick Wetang’ula and Sylvester Kituyi with the objective of preparing the youth for self reliance and employment.

Responsibilities or duties

Ensuring timely preparation and submission of Appropriation in Aid reports

Ensuring timely preparation and submission of HELB annual reports

Assist in development of the institution's budget;

Train and develop accounting staff.

Assist in reviewing the accounting procedures and practices

Control and supervise operations of the Accounts unit;

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: -

• Served in the grade of Accountant I or a comparable and relevant position in thePublic Service or a reputable private sector organization for a minimum period of three(3) years;
• A Degree (Accounting/Finance option) from a recognized Institution and or PartIII/Advanced level of the Certified Public Accountant Examination or itsrecognized equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
• Certificate in Computer Applications

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 12

Level of Education: bachelor degree
