Role Objective
Our client, a reputable law firm based in Nairobi, is seeking to recruit a highly experienced Senior Associate Advocate to lead its Conveyancing and Commercial Law Department. The successful candidate will oversee high-value transactions, provide strategic legal guidance, supervise the department team, and drive client satisfaction, business growth, and long-term client relationships.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage conveyancing, corporate and commercial transactions from instruction to completion.
- Provide leadership, guidance and support to the department team.
- Review, draft and negotiate contracts, agreements and other legal documents.
- Advise clients on conveyancing, commercial, corporate and real estate matters.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
- Drive business development initiatives and support client retention efforts.
- Monitor departmental performance and ensure timely service delivery.
- Contribute to strategic planning, operational efficiency and risk management initiatives.
- Support knowledge sharing through legal updates, articles and industry insights.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance client experience and service delivery.
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Job Specifications and Qualifications
- LL.B degree from a recognized university.
- Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a valid Practising Certificate.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in Conveyancing, Commercial and Corporate Law.
- Experience handling securities, property transactions and related legal processes.
- Leadership or management training will be an added advantage.
