The role will work closely with country and regional teams, as well as global M&E specialists, to build and implement frameworks that align with organizational goals and support landscape-level conservation delivery.

Reporting to the Conservation Strategy Senior Manager, this role will serve as a technical and operational bridge across teams, improving consistency, oversight, and impact measurement of conservation programming. This includes coordinating quarterly performance monitoring, supporting global reporting efforts, and designing data systems to elevate project learning and accountability. The role requires structured thinking, intellectual curiosity, and a team-oriented mindset to help translate strategy into actionable insights and measurable results.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate quarterly performance monitoring and reporting across the Africa region, developing systems to track progress against key strategic and programmatic indicators.
  • Identify risks, delivery issues, and performance trends, and escalate where necessary to senior management with recommended mitigation actions.
  • Collaborate with field teams to improve the use of delivery data and bring narrative analysis to support evidence-based decision-making across programs.
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative research and analysis to support data-driven recommendations and adaptive program design.
  • Support the development and implementation of a regional M&E framework, in partnership with global M&E colleagues, aligned to the Africa Strategy.
  • Synthesize findings and insights into compelling presentations, dashboards, and reports for internal and external stakeholders, including the Executive Team and Board.
  • Contribute to biannual global reporting processes, and provide timely and accurate inputs to other reporting requirements.
  • Identify systemic delivery challenges and participate in the design and roll-out of cross-cutting systems solutions in collaboration with Sub-Regional teams.
  • Work closely with multi-functional teams across geographies to share knowledge, ensure delivery alignment, and foster learning.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy practical tools and processes for project teams to improve performance tracking and learning.
  • Support adaptive management practices at the project and landscape levels by helping structure complex challenges into manageable components.
  • Assist in the preparation of internal reports, presentations, and learning materials related to program delivery and outcomes.
  • Contribute to internal capacity-building efforts on monitoring, analysis, and project delivery.
  • Assist in preparing technical documentation for donor proposals, reports, and evaluations

People and Resource Management Responsibilities

  • Directly report to and receive strategic guidance from the Conservation Strategy Senior Manager.
  • Serve as a coordination point across regional delivery, MEL, and operational teams.
  • Supervise interns or vendors supporting data and delivery systems as relevant.
  • Manage key data systems, tools, and reporting schedules relevant to performance and evaluation.

Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in project management, monitoring and evaluation, or strategy design and implementation in a management consulting firm, conservation, or development setting.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing M&E frameworks, performance reporting systems, and adaptive management tools.
