A Senior Data Engineer designs, builds, and maintains scalable data infrastructures and pipelines to ensure data availability, integrity, and security. This role involves leading the development of data flows, optimizing data processes, collaborating with analysts and scientists, and mentoring junior engineers.

Design and Build Data Pipelines: Create, implement, and maintain complex data pipelines and data streaming systems to support analytics and BI. Data Architecture: Architect and implement scalable, modular, and maintainable data platforms and components, often leveraging cloud technologies. Data Modeling: Design and implement advanced data models for data warehouses and analytics environments, such as dimensional and data vault models. Technical Leadership: Lead technical decisions, evaluate new technologies, optimize data processing, and drive excellence in data engineering practices. Collaboration and Mentorship: Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other engineers, and provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members. Strategic Impact: Identify and create impactful data solutions that add value to the business and serve as a strategic partner to stakeholders.

Cloud Platforms: Deep understanding of cloud-based data services and infrastructure. Data Warehousing: Expertise in designing and maintaining data warehouses and data lakes. Data Integration: Proficiency with ETL/ELT and Change Data Capture (CDC) patterns. Data Modeling: Strong knowledge of dimensional, data vault, and other relevant data modeling techniques. Databases: Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases, understanding schemas and appropriate use cases. Programming Languages: Proficiency in languages and tools used for data manipulation and pipeline development. CI/CD: Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment practices for data pipelines.
