Our client, a reputable international NGO, is seeking a seasoned Senior Finance Manager (Grants & Compliance) to lead financial management, donor compliance, and internal controls across a multi-donor portfolio. This is a senior role focused on safeguarding funds, strengthening financial governance, and ensuring accurate, timely reporting for donor-funded programs, including partners such as FCDO, European Union, and IKEA Foundation.

The Role

The Senior Finance Manager will oversee budgeting, forecasting, cashflow planning, and financial reporting across projects and country operations. The role will ensure strong grant financial compliance, support donor financial reporting and audits, strengthen internal controls and risk management, and provide strategic finance support to program teams for effective planning and delivery. The position will also supervise finance staff and support capacity building for implementing partners where applicable.

Required Experience

Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage), with CPA/ACCA qualification preferred. Minimum 8–10 years of progressive finance experience in NGO or donor-funded environments is required, including leadership of budgets, grant compliance, audits, and donor reporting. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and stakeholder management ability are essential. Experience with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel proficiency are highly desirable.
