Background
JKUAT Enterprises Ltd (JKUATES) is a state corporation fully owned by JKUAT. Through research, consulting, training, and innovation, we deliver tailored advisory services to both public and private sector clients.
Our client, in the financial sector, is seeking to recruit suitably qualified, experienced, result-oriented and highly motivated Kenyans to fill the following vacant position.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Reconciling weekly CDS accounts to the investment registers.
- Reviewing generated investment proposals to facilitate approval.
- Implementing the Investment Committee decisions.
- Posting of approved investment journals in the designated accounts to update the respective investment portfolios.
- Carrying out reconciliation of premiums receivable ledgers to ensure that premium contributions have been received in full and accurately accounted for.
- Regularly updating and reconciling the accounting ledgers for the Fund.
- Implementing the internal control system in line with the approved policies and procedures.
- Preparing of external audit schedules and reports on investment.
Requirements
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
- Cumulative service period of six (6) years’ relevant work experience, three (3) of which should have been in the grade of Fund Management Officer I or in a comparable position.
- Bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields: Economics, Statistics, Accounting, Actuarial Science, Economics and Finance; or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized and accredited institution.
- Membership to a relevant professional body in good standing where applicable.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
